Subject: RE: Diesel additives

central - east central Minnesota -

Rockpile - 5/3/2014 18:46 We have several older tractors that get a fair bit of use. JD 4560 and JD 4640. Also have a JD 9510 combine. All of these were built before the advent of low sulphur diesel. Looking for thoughts on using lubricity additives. Thanks, guys.

Your question has been discussed several times, since low sulfur diesel has been mandated ..  ..

The cliff note version is 2% soyoil or a little bottle of 2 cycle mixing oil are the best additives.

Now, are they really needed - unless you are buying diesel that doesn't meet ASTM standards, not needed . . . . .

If you want to muddle through the different discussions - do a search on NAT.
