| A much easier and cheaper way is to get a kit to disconnect the chain drive at the drive wheel.
You just pull the handle on a cam which, pulls the chain away from the wheel, so it does not run while
roading.
I had both kits for dry fert. and seed for a 7000. One neighbor got the seed one, and I still have the fert side,
as I did not mount either one. This is quite a few years ago, and I am sure someone can
tell us the brand, as I do not recall. Used to be advertised in all the farm magazines.
Edit: I just did a search, and found Clevertech, Jesup, Iowa, sells the kit. $68.
They also make a great set of combine chopper hammers.
