First off I will agree that the aftermarket contact wheel drive systems are a great product.
On my soybean planter made from a Deere 7000, I have a Jamison. Very happy.

But I think Young Mr Jamison told me this winter at a show the price was $1800-
And I doubt if you want to spend that much on this little use planter.

But there is another aftermarket product that would be just right.

A easy to do chain disconnect. Had some on my White 5100. Very easy.

The idler is spring loaded. And there is a lever on the idler. Move the lever and idler away from the chain. Then remove the chain from the wheel sprocket.
It just hangs there.
Just as easy to put the chain back on.

Do not know if anybody still markets them. Also they were not rocket science to design, many welding shops made them. Might just ask your local welding fellow.

A RE in the linked to thread asked about accuracy with the Jamison Drive?
The Jamison Drive turns the back shaft of the transmission at the same rate as the regular factory drive. There is no need for any extra figuring when using it.
