Ripley, Ontario Canada | Yes it has been working pretty good. I haven't done a lot of trenching yet, but I did do a couple hydro services and the best trenching I have had I did 188 feet in half an hour at about 44 inches deep, and I was not pushing things. I think I could do better. My trenching chain is just about wore out, but I am limping along. I don't want to price a new chain, I bought new cutters for this chain and it was $700 plus bolts, don't want to know what the chain would be worth. Vermeer considers this industrial equipment and has limited dealers in Ontario, and they know it.
The field I am working in in the pictures is just a bit wet for good traction and that is not helping my productivity. I am heading for a hole with water in it, and am not sure when I am going to get it dry enough to trench across. I have gotten close on 2 sides and backhoed the standing water off, but will take some time to dry out before I can cross with the trencher.
