Would the same hold true for a slat confinement as far as narrower being better air quality. I'm thinking 170 X 80 ft wide building with the North 14 (?) feet for feed alley. So 66' wide pens with bunks on North and South side should get to about 9 inches of bunk space per head at 450 head (25 sq.ft./hd). Also using a 3/12 pitch for example, how high would the roof be on South side? And does a 3/12 pitch allow enough sunlight to reach into the building in the winter in northern Iowa? Thanks in advance Beeflinks.
