In the rest of the industrialized world, you have a government panel look at the information concerning the drug and then basically setting the price.
Result is much lower prices.
And I would venture much less innovation and research too. It is hardly ever mentioned the billions spent on research and FDA approval to get new drugs on the market.
How would farmers like it if the government set the price of grain hard and fast then left it up to us to produce it below that cost? |
