| Try a daylight fluorescent rather than a "regular" one, whatever that is.
Plants actually don't use all the spectrum of daylight, but the "cold" white lights have a lot of blue, which the plants use for photosynthesis, together with red. I wouldn't be surprised if plants used more than just red and blue, like the lights you see in greenhouses. UV light might be important to fight against pathogens, as it has a disinfectant property. Plus weeds love it, we probably wouldn't have Roundup resistant weeds if it were not for the mutations induced by UV light... ;)
That's just a joke, if it was not clear, I haven't seen any information about UVs and plants. | |
