| Well as I have shown ("uh-hum" not intended.. lol) and Insider has reported.. the weekly EIA data "jumps around" a little bit. However, we ARE exporting product.. Here is the EIA data.. assumedly a little more reliable.. on monthly exports. U.S. Exports of Fuel Ethanol (Thousand Barrels) | |

Again we ONLY have data up through January.. (try as I might.. ) However, up until the ethanol price spike.. it appears that we were gaining customers. Through the summer it would appear that Brazil takes over.. (just like the beanies..) and from time to time we import from them.. and like this past winter.. They import from us.. http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=M_EPOOXE_EEX_NUS-NBR_MBBL&f=M We also sell to others.. http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_move_expc_a_epooxe_eex_mbbl_m.htm If we use.. 12.8 bil gallons domestically.. then we only need to export.. 1.2 billion gallons.. or.. 1,200/42 = 28.57 thousand barrels.. which we did in 2011.. in order to reach the 14 billion gallon target. There's no reason that the US can not become the Saudi Arabia of ethanol.. U.S. Exports of Fuel Ethanol (Thousand Barrels) | |

http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=m_epooxe_eex_nus-z00_mbbl&f=a The production decline has been hampered by the droughts and high corn prices as well as the recession. If grain prices soften.. we should become more competitive. Again, ethanol is the cheapest octane on the planet.
