waaaay east central Colorado
Im obviously not Josh, but I twin on strips. The biggest deal for us being able make that system work for us was finding the right strip tiller. You need a pretty wide strip for a twin to operate on, thats why we use a schlagel strip tiller. We can build a 10" strip with it, and it has a big enough shank to be as aggressive as you wanna be on depth.

Our last planter had narrow gauge wheels on the sides that faces the other twin unit, and regular ol' "fat" wheels on the outsides. We saw excessive vertical unit movement because of the fat wheels riding over trash and clods that weren't moved as far away from the strip as a normal strip till and plant operation. Our latest planter has narrow wheels all around and it definitely helps that problem.
