Subject: RE: 4440 vs JD 750 no till

central - east central Minnesota -

farmrn - 3/18/2014 21:00 Will a JD 4440 (duals) be enough for a JD 750 without dolly wheels? Should I have weight on the front? Mostly flat here, but a few very gentle rolling incline. I think it should be enough, but worry about weight. Thanks

I have no experience with a 4440 or a 2pt 750 drill . . . . .But, in my inexperienced opinion, the 4440 with full rack of weights should work. Slow down on the road - the drill is heavy and will push tractors around, same on side hills and such when turning.

I've used my 1256 w/dolly wheels 750 drill and it handled it fine on the road and on moderate hills.
