West Chazy, New York | It's a single stick quad range. Four ranges, two synchro shift speeds and a hydraulic splitter, all controlled by one stick. It's a pretty reliable transmission. All of the older Deere articulated tractors have one weak point; the engine block is the frame. On level ground it isn't a problem. On hills and over ditches the flex of the tractor causes the line bore to wear out. | |
