S.E. MN | I'm in the process of replacing a transfer case on a 2002 3500/w150,000 miles. Look up transfer case pump rub, this is a fail poin on ALL chevy transfer cases from '97-2008. If your case isn't failed it looks like the thing to do is install the case saver part. My case, both front and rear half and most of the internal parts are junk, $1300. The case saver washer is less then #50, wish I,d known (probably wouldn't have believed anyone anyway!). | |
