Do you have a hard pan when you reach 2-3' or what? I know what you mean about water being slow if you go any wider. We typically install at 3' deep, about 40' apart. We don't usually hit a hard pan until about 4-5'. The problem is that a lot of our immediate area, and about 95% of our land is very flat and we have to become very unique with our outlets because we don't have drainage ditches/districts like a lot of people have in other areas of our state or region.

Good to learn about your area and techniques, appreciate the explanation. Still hard to believe you don't have problems with crushing, especially given the size of combines and grain carts now. That would be a concern of mine every time we enter the field "here".
