Been there done that. That fresh coat of paint winds up taking a ton of labor. You have to move every thing away from the walls and unhang as much as you can. Then you get to paint around the stuff you don't want to unhang. In reality it will never happen and if it does the cost of the repaint will wind up eating any money you saved up front. The paint looks good the first couple years especially if you put it over a decent quality plywood. If you spend the money on decent plywood, you really haven't saved that much compared to OSB and a FRP or other covering. I'm not sure why you would spend the kind of money people do on shops and then skimp on the finish in side.
