Subject: '92 Volvo & Doepker 40ft hopper - eating flasher units

Can't leave the hazards on for too long when parked on the road or the flasher will be toast by the end of the day. The flasher is handling a total of 8 lights when the hazards are on. The trailer has all LED lighting; one signal on each side, one 4" bulb on each side at the back, so there shouldn't be much draw from the trailer should there? All lights flash normally when the flasher is good, so don't suspect a short. The flasher is a basic 2-male prong style similar to the picture below.

Is it just too much load? Recommend a brand of heavy duty flasher unit? Or could there be something else going on?
