Subject: RE: 7810 or 8100

SW Mn
I have a 97' 8300 and had a 7810 till a few years ago. Both good tractors and you will be happy with either one but once you have driven the 8000 series I think it wins for most jobs. Benefits to 7810: 540/1000 pto, shorter- little handier, lighter less compaction. Downside of 7810: shorter=rougher ride, lighter- depending on the job, spongy throttle that I hated. The 8300 rides so much nicer, shifts nicer, nicer throttle, better hydraulics which seems to be more important all the time.
