| Take the pin out of the hub where the plastic handle is then you can adjust the clearance for the disc against the housing of the meter. If you have too great of clearance the seeds can get between the disc and housing. A precision disc from a JD disc needs to be adjusted differently. The disc needs to have a little bit of drag against the housing. The housing won't be exactly true, so it should drag a little, then not a little. etc... How fast are you planting? The faster you plant the higher vacuum you need to keep the seeds on the disc as they pass through the singulator. But typically planting beans, the higher the vacuum the better job you will get. With a singulator you will have a really hard time to get doubles so you need to be more worried about not having enough vacuum which causes skips. I am talking upper 20's on the vacuum. If you can't achieve that currently; take out any in line hydraulic regulators then use the tractor scv to regulate the flow. | |
