Sounds like the warmer is for when you have it in the tractor. It says it is 12v with a cord, so you would have to plug it in before you start greasing so it can soften the grease. Sound like a novelty to me.
We have a 14.4v Lincoln at work, and it gets used almost every day. Had it for 4 or 5 years. No problems yet, except 1 set of batteries.
