Subject: Antique John Deere 18 Cotton and Corn planter

Caldwell County, TX
Howdy,

Does anyone have any recollection of using one of these lister type planters back in the 50s or 60s? Or do any of yall have the operators manual? I think I'm missing some parts. The cotton plate is a cast iron sun looking dome with a finger or stirrer facing upward at about a 80 degree angle. I also have the corn plates and cane plates. I think there is a false plate that is used when operating the cotton plate but the functionality is not easily understood to me sans schematics. Trying to restore it so my boy can use it in his "field".

Thank you for any help
