Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | Between my knowledge of the workings of those choppers and the brevity of that article, I can't help but think that must have been an incredibly gruesome scene. These new corn heads are so dangerous and the machines so powerful that I can't imagine why anyone would risk going anywhere near one when running. Desperation and haste are a bad combination. At least it was over quickly for the one man, but the image is going last a long time in the minds of the bystanders.
