Western CO
FYI, Brad has worked for us since '09. Mostly he has combined sunflowers for us but for anyone that knows flowers you know they are not usually a very easy crop to combine and he has always been very conscientious of the job he does. He and I have talked quite a lot about stripper heads. I think most of the wheat on the western high plains should probably be harvested using a stripper head because of the additional residue cover. We had never had an issue with the straw blowing away, it seems to be a bigger problem in areas that get more rainfall - like east of about Hays, KS or thereabouts.
