Subject: RE: mpg on little pickup trucks?

Floyd County, Iowa
I've got a '95 S10, 2.2L 4 cyl, 5 speed manual, 2 wd, reg cab, 110k miles. I get 28-30 mpg with it, driving about 12 miles a day, rural and town miles. I try to stay at 55 or so.
For bigger jobs, I have an '04 F150, 5.4, 4x4, supercab, 60k miles. I get 14-17 mpg with it.
If anyone says they can't get better mileage with a small pickup and small engine vs full size, they're either overworking it or driving like a Nascar wannabe.
