Cen IL | I have rebuilt several 4L60E's, 80E's, thm 400, thm 350, 700R4's and Nissan RE4RO1. I buy the rebuild manuals from Automatic transmission Service Group (ATSG) out of Miami , Florida. They are not just a publishing house, they know auto transmissions. There 800 number is 245-7722. Those folks are very helpful. I don't recall ever buying any special tools. As you disassemble, look at the parts in the diagram so you get more familiar with them. I always automatically install a rebuilt torq converter. Have a big table that you can lay everything out on. Be very neat and clean parts well when you put it back togather. | |
