Subject: RE: Articulated steer combines

SW Minnesota
I was talking to another farmer last week and we got on the subject of combines. He was saying that all combines should have the unloader on the right side. He said it would be easier to watch and keep things under control (dumping on the go) if you unloaded on the same side as your controls. Or compromise - make it like Versatile did on that pull-type they sold years ago that would unload on either side. And it would be easier to get lined up with the rows if the steering axle was in front and the drive axle was in the rear, which if you think about it, it makes sense.
