Faunsdale, AL | Run them tubeless and with plenty of stop leak. Tubes and stop leak don't really work in my experience. If you have them already mounted with tubes, simply remove valve core to deflate tire, push valve stem into the tire and pump stopleak in before lubing up a tubeless tire stem and pushing it into the hole in the rim with a screwdriver. This works on the 5/8" hole rims, but the rims with the small diameter hole might be too hard to get one in without breaking down the tire enough to reach inside and put the stem in the normal way. Also always take an air tank or compressor to the field with you each day or bring the tractor to the shop where you can fill anything that goes down overnight.
You may want to spray them first and let them take up the herbicide before mowing or spray the regrowth. Depending on the size of the stobbs left after mowing, you may have trouble with them punching tires next year. First trip through is usually the safest! | |
