I can't really add anything, just to let you know that you are not alone. I know a local guy who plays guitar, I overheard him and another guitar-lover talking the other day, and this guy was going off on how much better sounding tube amps are and the tricks he could do on them to get the sound he wanted that can't be done with the new digital stuff.
