In most any kind of tillage or no-til, you can most easily plant the headlands first. Probably doesn't do the stand a whole lot of good to run over it turning around while planting the rest of the field, but unless you have some kind of tillage machine to take out your tracks before you plant it, you're going to either run over it before or after you plant.
