| Old timers around here say any month with an "R" in it is ok to plant grass. Sort of makes sense when you think about it. Don't know if it holds true in colder climates than we have here in KC or not.
We always get a lot better stand if we can mulch it good after we plant it. Wouldn't really want to plant it on the ground as rough as you say it is though. It will never get any better than it is when you plant it. Most likely it will get worse with time. | |
