| Engine is 175 hp at 2400 rpm I think so should be adequate. Lots of older deutz around but not so many newer ones. I'd always heard 3-4 gph but that is from some of the same people who grow 250 bu corn every year. After I bought mine I heard that they all burn oil for the first 600 hours or so until the rings are seated but some burn oil their entire life. No doubt mine may run 20,000 hours but in that time it will burn 1667 quarts ar 417 gallons of oil at $10 per gallon is $4170 just in consumption, not counting regular oil changes. I've gotten the impression that deutz quality has slipped in recent years. | |
