West Central Alberta Coldest, wettest edge | My thoughts exacty Canadian Eh, if the whole reason to go is to read and relax, I can do that at home, and it doesn't cost anything, and I am far less likely to be caught in the cross fire of a gang war or a hurricane, or drown.
I guess I am just fortunate to have grown up in a land locked cold province with 11 months of winter, and one month of poor sledding. The only time we ever got near a body of water was when it was frozen enough to support a snowmobile or skates. To think, many people in the world have never enjoyed true fun on frozen water, and spent their lives thinking you are supposed to swim in it, while in the liquid form!
So many beautiful places in the world, with history and nature, and farming, yet people go to sea resorts, isolated from the real people and country, and never even experience the culture, or the country, just a beach.
Seriously though, is it possible to go out exploring off of the resort, or is it too dangerous, or is there nothing to see? |
