Take a good book to read, there is always plenty of shade to sit in. Most resorts have entertainment each night (the larger the resort the better). I advise agaist driving down there. The best way to travel (like for excursions to ruins) is by bus tours. They know how to keep you safe. I too was dragged kicking and screaming to my son wedding in 2005. Went back in 07 thru 10 vouluntarily. Then we tried Hawaii, I liked that too (just too far away). Hope you enjoy.
