Very true on "field ready." I usually say that field ready means it might be ready for one field.... or part of one, LOL


Kind of like when they say they "ran them through the shop". I've looked at a few described that way and wondered if they stopped them while they were in the shop or just ran them through.

Had an uncle and a neighbor who both ran 6620's and traded, one for a 1440 and one for a 1640. Both stated the red was a lot easier to work on the the 6620. I know the newer 9000 JD went to engine on the back so they me be simpler than the old 20 series. Mainly red and green ones around here and I don't think color has anything to do with reliability. It's more how well maintained they are. I think if you find one of either color that has been treated right, you'll be happy.
