| No, I asked for and received (still have it) one of those Electronics Experiment Lab from Radio Shack. The tone generator project was really annoying for my sister. The radio projects couldn't pick up anything... too far away for our rural location.
The Sears Christmas wishbooks of the late 1970's had some really impressive Chemistry Sets. You have to really look online to find one of these today. DEA is really paranoid that one of these sets could be used or end up leading to the production of Illicit Mood Altering Substences.
