Subject: Re: strip till in standing stalks?

NW Iowa
we used to prefer leaving the stalks long as possible, but we started having issues in the spring with the stalks blowing down over the winter(equals a real pain in the neck for planting) so we went with a non chopping drago corn head and it seems to have really helped. We just finished our third year with the Drago, and I'm done with the strip tilling also, if I remember I think I plugged once or twice is all, running a BlueJet 3point strip till rig! We have been strip tilling for 10-12 years now and like it better every year!
