run a finer screen in your grinder mixer then switch screens and grind your corn-takes 10# of cobs to 1 bushel of shelled corn-then you have dry ground ear corn-works great-about a 10% feed efficency gain over straight shell corn-secerat is to grind the cobs in a 1/2 inch screen! At $7 bushel for corn your cobs are worth $.70 a bushel-cobs weigh anywhere from 10-14# a bushel-your neighbor gave you $28 of feed for free-at todays price if you would have picked 1 acre of earcorn you would have harvested $70 a acre of feed if your corn did 100 bushel, and you ground it as earcorn-and still no one gets excited-even more so when you have earlage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
