West Tennessee | i remember my grandfather saying 2 row pickers were too big, then 4 rows were, now we have 6 rows and on the verge of having 8 or 12 row pickers because of the round baler. my biggest draw to them is the less labor involved. you can buy alot of labor for 750,000 but 1 guy mess up like the combine accident a couple wks ago and how much could you have saved. accidents happen everyday and that guy may have not been able to avoid it but i feel better if i'm running my machine than someone else. thats where the baler pickers come into play. you take 2 pickers, 2 builders, 2 buggies in 2 bale cotton and its a madhouse in the field. or you take 1 baler and 1 mover they can about do the same amount of work with 1/3 the labor and most importantly the headache. | |
