Central Texas | If everybody has to go to round bale pickers or strippers, I think cotton will go by the wayside in some areas such as ours. Some years pickers work great here, other years they don't. If I'm going to raise cotton, I'm going to harvest the crop or as much as I can myself. I'm not going to spend that kind of money on a machine that does the same basic task as a machine that costs 1/10 as much. Not all areas that grow cotton are the same, to say modules are going to completely disappear is maybe wishful thinking on someone's part. I don't foresee that happening in my area anyway. | |
