SW Saskatchewan | I have always enjoyed the ability to have cash at your finger tips when traveling away from home where a cheque may not be suitable.
But the fees that the companies now charge small businesses are criminal - I have heard locally of fees up to 7 1/2% deducted from the invoices.
As a result I have started going back to cash-have air miles beyond what I will ever use so the points aren't important-but the local grocery can use the $ better than some big bank. And bank machines are everywhere to restock your wallet.
Just wish bills larger than twenties were in general circulation-show up with a 100 (or even a 50) and the old counterfeit suspicion turns on. Carry more than 200 $ of 20s in your wallet and you start sitting crosswise. | |
