We went from a 6500 to a CIH 3185. We spray about 6,000 ac a year. Only complaints I have with the 3185 is the 75' booms & you have to have the engine reved up to raise the booms all the way & fold. Also, steering is a little sloppy. Ours has the spherical tank. It drains out completely & takes less than gal to reprime the pump unlike the 6500 which always had at least 5 gal left in the tank when it lost prime & took 15-20 gal to reprime. I wasn't sure how I;d like sitting over the front axle & being able to keep it between the rows but it wasn't a problem. Ride is much better than the 6500. I sprayed some grond yesterday that we had worked this fall with our Dominator. Wouldn't have thought of doing that with the 6500
