Have no idea of how big of distributor/amount of downspouting, but that might be a consideration. 10" piping is good for about 6,000 bu/hr, which is where I ended up. Vertical bucket elevators do not suffer the capacity loss with wet corn that augers do. You might want to figure in dryer wet holding capacity so that the leg does not run too often for short times. You will also need to use a timer on the leg to allow it to clean out after filling for shrink. This size leg will unload a semi in that 10 minute range, without the hassles of water and a pit. Could also go the other way, truckload pit and a much smaller leg.
