I've wondered what can be gained by only doing tandem doubles. Is the payload gained really worth it? I see a couple here, but must guys run a tandem with pup, triples, or the triple axle doubles. Maybe it would be worth it to put a pusher on the truck and run a triple axle dolly. You would need to have set back jacks and Wilson would definitely be more accomodating about that than Timpte.
