Subject: Re: Tire pressure

Southern MN
I go by the door label since most my tires are original or meet OEM specs. I figure those door labels weren't just made up numbers, someone must have put some research into figuring out what the proper inflation is based on the weight of the vehicle. Tires are made to be put on many, many vehicles, how would the tire manufacture know what the proper air pressure is for your vehicle if they don't know how much your vehicle weighs? Of course, I'm assuming tire pressure is directly related to the weight of a vehicle, something I think most will agree to. Change your vehicle to add significant weight, then I would increase air pressure.
