Oregon | I do not understand how, in any universe, an IVT is difficult to shuttle. Deere even has a left hand reverser available- so how could it be any easier? After a few hours of seat time, a good operator can make an IVT tractor do anything he or she wants with ease. The suggestion that a PS transmissions is smoother is crazy talk. Sometimes I wish the Deere IVT was faster to respond to inputs but it is smooth and stupid proof. I can not imagine a better transmission for the applications you have listed. A 7920 IVT is now one of my favorite Deere tractors of all time- right up there with the 4020 and 4440. And it would shine at those applications. | |
