Subject: IVT transmissions

Pontiac, IL.
Thinking about upgrading tractors, and since Deere no longer offers a power shift in a 175-210 HP tractor, I am thinking about going to an IVT. The tractor's main tasks will be on a batwing mower mowing ditches, pulling a pull-type sprayer with a 90' boom, and on a 750 bu. grain cart. I have heard it said that an IVT transmission is a PITA on a batwing mower, when backing up to high-line/telephone poles etc. Is this true? Anyone out there who has used an IVT on a batwing? How did you like it? Please don't tell me to go with the power quad, I have driven one of those, and I'll keep my old power shift first. TIA
