We have a new Intellaview IV monitor in our combine, and we are trying to set up the variety tracking. I have used the SMS device setup to copy our planting varietys to a USB, and it is the only file on this USB. When we put the USB in the Intellaview IV and go to the run page for variety tracking it does not show any varietys. What step or steps are we missing?

Do you have Variety Zone software installed (Diagnostics > Version)? Are you in the "Advanced" Interface Level (Toolbox > Display Setup)? Are you using the supported USB stick? Are you sure that there is variety information on the USB stick? Do you have GPS turned on? Is Variety Tracking turned on? Are you looking at a map or at the Variety Name window, or ??

I also understand that the USB with the variety tracking files on it must stay in the monitor in order to allow the monitor to access the variety data, correct?

correct

Also have one more question, we are have used agleader monitors in the past and we would copy harvest data from the monitor to the usb. What is the proper way to copy the harvest data to the
usb when using the Intellaview IV?
TIA

Data is automatically written to the USB stick as you are harvesting, and when you turn off the key, the display finishes copying everything to the card automatically. No need (or way) to manually copy files from the display to the flash drive.
