We're on our own up here in MT so if we are dis-satisfied with convergence times on Omni (and I was), then you need to put up your own base to get RTK. Convergence time goes about like this:

  1. Open doors to steel sheeted shed.
  2. Start tractor.
  3. Turn on GPS.
  4. Back out of shed.
  5. Get out of tractor and shut shed doors.
  6. GPS RTK fix acquired sometime between shutting doors and climbing back in tractor.

With RTK, as soon as you have fix, it is dead-on accurate and will get no better or worse whether you wait 10 seconds or 10 minutes.
