SE MN | Early 2008's (2004-2008) had the plug design that breaks; they updated (according to the link below engines built after 10/9/07) the heads to accept plugs that do not break. I have an 07, did plugs at 60K, we broke 3 out of 8; I am lucky enough to have a friend that is a Ford tech who helped me. He had the Ford tool and the Lisle tool to extract the plugs. He did not think it was a big deal to extract but was more that I wanted to bite off. If you have the later engine with the newer plugs I would not be scared to do it myself. Lots of info on F150 forums about this issue.
