You make a very good point. Why not a lab test feeding same rats a diet of 2,4-d laced water & corn sprayed w/2,4-d on the kernels? What would those results be?

There is a reason for most crop herbicide labels to have a maximum height or stage (e.g. V-5) restriction.

Or......they could feed the rats a diet of rice & see if they die from arsenic. This link will take you to a post by Owen Taylor here in CropTalk re.
