General rule 80K on a basic semi, you can be as high as 88K when coming out of a field where you had no chance to weigh i.e. hay or cattle. You then get into axle splits so even if you are under the 88K you can get in trouble for not having the load even enough. Seeing more and more cattle pots with 4 axles now, 3 used to be rare and were always considered Canadian, but not any more. Go to Canada and you will see a lot more axles on everything, dump trucks up there seem to have them from the front to the back.
