Shelbina, MO | After my evening beer consumption, I'll sum my thoughts up real quick. I feel for anyone who has livestock. Drought sucks. I won't have sh&t for corn to sale, I'm not going to cash in on record high prices. I hope to live on to farm another year. Yes, I have crop insurance. Sorry, I seen my Dad take several bath's feeding cattle in the 80's. He refuses to let me feed cattle on his farm. I don't blame him. Consolidation in the livestock industory sucks. Lets all make a living with 40 sows, 40 cows, and 400 acres. (Yeah! Right!) If that was the case, My brother and I could quit our jobs! | |
